Was making myself slightly useful in the kitchen listening to Absolute Radio. It’s the last show of whoever and whoever after 18 years so I think they’re playing up a bit.
The clue was when they read out a pretend letter from Prince Charles saying he wanted to be a tampon in Camilla.

You can’t say that at this hour!
Well, they did. Whilst having hysterics.

hiya Sleeps,,, I hAD oops, to google, Absolute Radio, only useful thing i’ve done in the kitchen is put ice and water into the pastis, and overboiled the spuds by forgetting them….

apologies to justa, fifty and Paul, you were asking me things a few nights ago, and i’d fallen asleep, it was an afternoon beer day…

as you say justa, it could be tricky , they kind of muddle through at present, but only just, and adding loads more work, suddenly will need more admin and organisation, which they’re not very good at.

“Could work the other way, of course, could come to realise he actually has to do some compliance. That depends who the new contracts are with, of course, but a lot of firms insist any contractors/sub-contractors match their accreditations.\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\2”

oops, me and these buttons !

hi fifty, ha yes, we do things cowboy style, but, when we work for one particular housing body, we have to do everything ‘by the book’, and they are superstrict, Id cards get checked, signs and notices must be displayed, ppe must be worn, loadsa paperwork must be filled in, and signed and dated, and they do check it when they arrive for an inspection,

It’s a clash of cultures, which often leaves us arriving without essential bits and bobs, and stuff, ‘cos we are accustomed to getting away with it , but not with this lot.

Aye, could go either way. Fingers crossed that the contract is strict on compliance and he pulls his socks up.
And the office sort their act out.

Almost forgot. 12th of April. Юрий Гагарин went into space on this day. For ages, I had a poster I bought in Leningrad in the eighties. Geek? Moi?
