    Morning

Tasmania seems like a nice cool place to move to ..

  2. fingsaint says :

Sleepy ❤ work relationships can be a bugger – tune to soothe:

  3. Sleepychow says :

Oh. Must be a back story there.
No time to read now – throwing H at her music thingoid.

Tried to reply to your questions last night Fings but got bogged down so I watched Tank Girl instead.

    My review:
    Pretty bad akcherly

  6. xenium1 says :

Sunny. 15° here. Off to Sitges for a stroll & lunch. Then footy at 4.

Tis good to be back… 🙂

  7. fiftyoneandabitmorenow says :

Blue sky here – yay! And last night’s curry for breakfast. More yay!

  8. Bill0 says :

    V. Foggy again. Unusual to see ducks on the river Henmore outside Waitrose. Had to stop and watch.

    Morning.

  9. NuitsdeYoung says :

    Fresh-baked croissants and cardamom coffee…

Will be going to say (probably) goodbye to Charlie today. Leo says he’s fading, so I don’t know if I’ll see him again. Poor wee chap.

I resigned from the Labour Party last night and joined the Federalists (part of the European Federalist Party).

  10. NuitsdeYoung says :

Bill – Ducks outside Waitrose? They’d better be careful they don’t end up inside…

  11. fingsaint says :

ah Charlie, I only know you through the interwebs and already I’m engaged with your life and so sad about your imminent …

But very happy to know leo and nuits who have introduced me to you

I’m guessing that you will depart knowing that you were well loved

  12. NuitsdeYoung says :

Fings: he’s the sweetest-natured cat I’ve ever met, and I’ve known quite a few through friends and family. Pete and Jane’s Oriflamme and Wizzer, and my aunt’s Boots came close, but Charlie is just love-in-cat-form.

  13. fingsaint says :

    Banner = it’s hot innit

it’s not like I’m not used to it – as a child in South Australia I remember trying to sleep in the car on the driveway with my Mum. Thinking that with the windows down we may be able to get a breeze.

Instead we stuck to the leather (?) seats

but this season is hot, not unusual*, but hotter earlier than expected.

so maybe we get a longer hotter season this year. Different, but if this is what’s on offer every year then …

They say we’ve reached a tipping point. I’d be wary of that advice if I was a policy maker – at the very least, I’d think : they may have point, let’s check this out…

    but….

Here, our government (capitalist opportunists with mates in multi-billion dollar quarry mining who DO NOT sway the policy makers – yeah right) say that they will invest in ‘clean’ coal.

    eeek!

    *thanks Tom, no reprise

I just feel that everything that matters has been or is in the process of being taken away from me: my Dad is seeing the doctor on Monday because his feet and legs are getting heavy again with fluid – this is all about balancing the heart medication and the kidney stuff, a friend’s mother is needing more chemo, Charlie… And there’s the political situation…

  15. fingsaint says :

Nuits, all you can do is be there for who and what you love and remember to bend your knees when you ride the surfboard back to shore x

  16. NuitsdeYoung says :

Sorry, I don’t understand the metaphor at all.

  17. fingsaint says :

    Calling it a night here x 🌔💋🌒💤

  18. fingsaint says :

Oh Nuits, sorry. Umm hang on.

It means when you’re all at sea, at some point you have to make your way back to shore. Look after yourself on that journey so that you arrive home safely.

    Does that help?

  19. NuitsdeYoung says :

And if you don’t feel there is still a home to arrive at?

  20. fingsaint says :

You still need to ride the waves whatever the destination ♥️

  21. xenium1 says :

    Cockney Rebel, Fings?

Riding the waves for Virginia Woolf… 🙂

Had a lovely bocadillo de queso manchego y una Estrella. Bus back to the village for footy at the local penya…

  22. neartheclocktower says :

Mr and watch have headed off to Camp Nou. Early, but they hope to see some of the warming up. Very excited for them.

  23. neartheclocktower says :

They’ve just sent me some great photos from the stadium. Kick off in 20 mins.

  24. xenium1 says :

Clocks, it’s certainly an experience & a half. (As long as you’re not there every fortnight.) Here’s hoping they get to see one of Barça’s manitas. And a Messi hat-trick! 🙂

  25. xenium1 says :

    Que golazo de Meeeesssiii!!!

Mr & Watch will tell you all about it, Clocks. And how they were there to see such magia… 🙂

  26. neartheclocktower says :

    Watching on tv, Xen!

Only recently discovered we’ve got interesting sports channels on Movistar+

  27. xenium1 says :

    And the rugby?

    No spoilers but… 😆

  28. interiorbc says :

    here for a bit…maybe…
fell on ice the other day, sprained wrist, shoulder and possible cracked ribs or maybe just badly bruised…very sore.
Could have been worse I suppose 🙂

  29. justamentalpatient says :

It was a cracking game, xen.

    Ouchie, inty.

  30. justamentalpatient says :

Got a memory stick from w**k in the post today. Think it’s the recording from Monday.
It can wait until the rugby has finished…

  31. justamentalpatient says :

Oi tell eee wot. That French scrum half is a handy little bugger. He’s everywhere!

  32. justamentalpatient says :

    Oh, shit!

  33. justamentalpatient says :

    YES!

  34. justamentalpatient says :

    Phew!

  35. interiorbc says :

“inty giggles at intensity of rugby fans”

  36. interiorbc says :

  37. justamentalpatient says :

Rugby is not a sport, mate. It’s life!

Think they got man of the match wrong, too. Serin for me.

  38. justamentalpatient says :

    Right. To the memory stick!

    *channeling sleeps, there*

  39. interiorbc says :

  40. Sleepychow says :

Will have to stay away from this thread until I’ve watched the recordings of today’s rugger.

  41. justamentalpatient says :

I have not provided scores, sleeps.

Well that didn’t work. Wanted to review sections before Big Decision meeting on Monday, but cannae.

    Buggrit

  42. NuitsdeYoung says :

Saw and petted wee Charlie. He’s comfy at present: Leo will keep us posted re: any change in his condition, but he doesn’t seem to be suffering at the moment, though he’s lost energy and weight.
